Southern Oregon has largely been defined by it's agricultural breadth and depth. Starting in the late 1880's with Harry & David orchards growing Riveria Pears and now in the twentieth century growing just about anything a chef or consumer could want. From grape vines to watermelon radishes, Southern Oregon and The Rogue Valley are an agricultural Mecca. 

Rogue Valley Growers & Crafters Market, named one of the 10 best farmers markets in the nation by USA Today, boasts 150-plus local growers, crafters and artisan food makers. Our open air market in Medford runs from March through November. Our indoor winter market is December through February. You will find the freshest seasonal produce, flowers, plants, cheeses, meats, baked goods, artisan foods and handcrafted goods available within 200 miles of the Rogue Valley. There is music, events and fun for the whole family!

Dunbar Farm practices organic farming and cultivates direct relationships with all customers. Vegetables and grains are grown organically and all naturally without pesticides, herbicides, or chemicals. They sell whole-grain, stone-milled flours freshly milled on-farm, sourdough bread, polenta and other milled corn products, popcorn, a wide array of whole grains and beans, and seasonal herbs, fruits and vegetables.

The oldest grape vines, planted in the mid-1970s, are one of the earliest grape plantings still in production in the Rogue Valley. The combination of mature vines, a south facing aspect, warm days, and cool evenings is ideal for producing elegant, sophisticated red wines, which is poured and sold at the Farm Stand/Tasting Room. The vineyard is approximately five acres of Bordeaux varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Malbec.

In a renovated rustic barn on their large berry farm, the Pennington family all work together to produce a wonderful variety of berry jams and “old-school” style baked goods, as well as their fresh berries in season. This 90-acre farm and bakery is located in the heart of the beautiful Applegate Valley. Fry Family Farm has opened a retail store at the Medford farm on Ross Lane. The Farm Store offers the widest variety of Fry Family Farm organic produce, berries, plants and flowers alongside our newest endeavor: farm-fresh pies, preserves, pickles, ferments, sauces, soups and freshly prepared take-home meals. The Farm Store also carries a multitude of other local and seasonal products. We only sell organic fruits and vegetables, always seeking local products first and keeping it regional (Oregon, Washington and California) when local is not available.

The Oregon Bee Store features local raw honey, bee-themed gifts, beautiful handmade beeswax candles, as well as bees and beekeeping supplies. Its full-service farm stand features our own sweet honey with local and organic, seasonal fruits and vegetables, many grown on site. The store is open dawn to dusk, 365 days a year! They also ship honey and candles year-round, ‘round the world.

Sue  and  Derek  Owen started  building  a  new  life  in 2011 as  lavender farmers  in  Southern  Oregon.  The farm is open  in  June  and  July  each  year  from  10:00 a.m.  until  4:00 p.m., Friday through Monday.

No chemicals or pesticides are used in their fields and the products are as natural as possible.  The lavender is fed with Epsom salts in the spring and fall but by-and-large lavender seems to do well left to its own devices. They distill their own lavender.  It’s a slow process and with a small still it takes hours for each run. To clear the barn at the end of the season takes months.

This historic Ashland orchard was established 1919 and has been certified organic since 2002. An on-site farm store is open to public for pick-up and product sales during growing season – typically June through September. The Tasting House for estate grown wines is open year round, Thursday – Sunday, 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Each season brings a wealth of produce from the fields and storage facilities along with offerings from other local businesses, such as locally roasted coffee, hand-made chocolates, apples, honey, goat cheese, eggs, herbs, breads and frozen pizza crusts, and local meats plus amazing fish from Port Orford Sustainable Seafood. The farm also carries bone broths, pie crust dough, and other fine foods from The Farm Kitchen.

To enjoy produce fresh from the fields, as well as many other local and regional natural foods and goods, stop by the Farm Store, located in the Big Red Barn right on the farm.

Bigham Farms has two farm stand locations in Central Point, Pumice Lane, near the Table Rocks, open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., March through Christmas, and at Bebee Road, August through October, offering a pumpkin patch and weekend events. They specialize in corn, green beans, pickling cucumbers, tomatoes, pumpkins and winter squash. Look for its produce at Ashland (Tuesday), Medford (Thursday) and Grants Pass (Saturday) farmers markets. They take special orders.

The Crouse family have been land stewards since the 1920s and developed Fort Vannoy Farms on sustainable principles, keeping the land fertile for generations. They are known for their corn maze and pumpkin patch, but they nurture more than family memories. The farm strives to provide our community with the juiciest, sweetest summer produce, especially sweet corn. 

Stop by its expanded farm stand from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., mid-July through October 31.

The Farm Stand LLC is located conveniently off of I-5 at exit 35. They are known for our delicious sweet corn, U-Pick peaches, blueberries, and nectarines. Their new farm stand includes even more locally grown and sustainably raised goods such as ground beef, dog treats, squash, and more.They are open seasonally, starting in late July and running through September.

In the valley just above Ashland, Willow-Witt Ranch brims with wildlife, healthy wetlands and forests, hiking trails and a diversified, organic farm. Purchase certified organic vegetables, goat milk herdshare, eggs, goat or pork meat and sausages at the on-farm store and Ashland and Medford farmers markets. They host music events, “Pastured Dinners,” weddings and summer camps for all ages through our nonprofit, The Crest. Farm stays include the campground’s furnished wall tents, tent sites and a community cookhouse, as well as year-round guest accommodations in the Farmhouse Studio or Meadow House.
