3 TASTING ROOMS TO VISIT THIS SPRING

There is a lot to taste and see when it comes to wine in the Rogue Valley, but rushing to do too much during one trip doesn’t match with the region’s easygoing reputation. With wineries big and small, historic and modern, tasting rooms in the Heart of the Rogue are a perfect place to start your tour of wine country. When you are looking to discover the newest trend in wine making, the Rogue Valley has a tasting room for you! Some of these revered boutique, small production wineries sell exclusively at their local tasting rooms or through member-only wine clubs.

Don’t forget to download Travel Medford’s Rogue Valley Wine Passport on your phone to earn points at each participating winery and to gain access to exclusive discounts and prizes.

The Punch House started their venture with the hope of crafting world-class wine right here in Southern Oregon. Their motto is “slay the unimaginative dragon”, which means the wines they craft on their property will be their best effort and never be just ok. As you enter through the curtain to their back patio you will soon notice that this is not just your average scene. The Punch House owners, Jon and Melissa Lebars, pride themselves by giving their guests a “tasting experience” with cozy ample seating, heaters and blankets to keep you warm, and a carefully curated playlist to pair with your favorite glass of wine. The atmosphere along with their stunning views of Table Rocks will keep you coming back for more.

Mark, Terri, Amelia, and Adeline left the hustle and bustle of the Twin Cities, MN to start their lives as farmers in beautiful Southern Oregon. With 6 acres of wine grapes, nearly an acre of lavender, about 100 table grape vines, and over 150 fruit trees, their farm is always full of life! Dos Mariposas, affectionately named after the owners’ two young daughters, translates to “Two Butterflies”. This tasting room is family-friendly with a play area for children, indoor and outdoor seating with incredible views of their lavender fields, as well as a charming pond overflowing with wildlife at the center of it all. Sit amongst their beautiful property with a glass of their delicious Pinot Noir and catch a concert during your next visit.

Nestled on the corner of Jacksonville’s famous California Street, Remotion’s alluring tasting room welcomes you to take a break from your everyday life, offering a collection of vinyl records to listen to that sets the mood with your tasting. Owners, Ben and Lori Grable, are passionate about partnering with local growers to produce their quality wines. Their vision details that a wine’s sensory experience can offer a departure from your present place and time and remind you of an experience, emotion or even a wine that you have tasted before. Stop by for a flight of their wine, a nibble of a delectable charcuterie, and create new memories by enjoying Jacksonville to the fullest.
